Our purpose is the proper functioning of the Laboratory of PTA Food Lab & Nutritional Services LTD, in order to provide high quality and reliable services, accurate and correct analytical results, harmonized with customer requirements.
Therefore, the Laboratory has developed and established a Quality Management System in accordance with International Standard ISO / IEC 17025: 2005, in order to provide test results that comply with the requirements of the Standard for the tests in which the laboratory has been accredited. The Laboratory is committed to implementing this standard and takes measures for continuous improvement of the Quality System.
The Laboratory seeks close cooperation with the operators, the partners and authorities in order to meet their demands improve the quality of services and to ensure the confidentiality of their information. Understanding the requirements of operators and collaborating institutions and the implementation of the applicable legislation in each case, are key steps.
The Laboratory:
Conducts its activities and testing always in the right scientific and professional way which ensures objectivity, impartiality, reliability and confidentiality.
Follows documented and validated methods that have been proven reliable and scientifically acceptable, based on recent scientific data.
When it’s necessary, applies methods that have been proposed by the client, by making the necessary processes required by the Standard.
Operates suitable, modern and well maintained equipment and implements and maintains the appropriate Quality System.
Ensures accuracy and repeatability of the analytical results, in compliance with the internal quality control and participates in inter-laboratory proficiency tests.
The operation of the Laboratory is based on faithful implementation of the Procedures of the Quality Assurance System (QMS), as recorded in the Laboratory Quality Manual. All Laboratory staff, making use of the provided training shall:
be familiar with the Quality Manual and developments,
comply with the policies and
apply the procedures and contribute to the implementation of continuous improvement.
Management and staff of the Laboratory must be independent of any influence, commercial, financial or any other pressure in order to ensure the impartiality and reliability of the results.
The Laboratory Division seeks continuous development and improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality Assurance System by:
setting specific targets and their corresponding implementation actions
applying implementation mechanisms and control of results
providing the staff with the expertise and all the necessary means and resources in order to achieve the goals and objectives of the Laboratory
supporting the operation of the QMS and providing all means for:
continuous quality improvement of the Laboratory Services
scientific development,
compliance with excellent infrastructure and high level of human resources.
Recognizing that the most valuable asset of the Laboratory is the qualified staff, the Administration shall ensure the efficient cooperation between the members of all the departments of the Laboratory, by constantly reinforcing the spirit of teamwork.
The laboratory treats all suppliers, subcontractors and partners as an integral part of the wider potential by making every effort to ensure long and mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Director is responsible for the overall operation of the Laboratory Quality Policy.
The Laboratory Management committed to providing all necessary resources and means to implement the Quality Policy and to ensure the impartiality of the Laboratory. Also it bounds to use Good Laboratory Practices and the reliability of results.
